Petition to get /r/metacanada added to the /r/canada sidebar
Dear /r/canada mods,
There are currently 91 links to other subreddits in the /r/canada sidebar, including several subreddits that have nothing to do with Canada. For example, /r/tellmesomethinggood is only there because /r/canada mod davidreiss666 is also a mod of that subreddit.
We at /r/metacanada feel that, given that you clearly have no standards for including subreddits in the sidebar, we should have link to our incredibly friendly and welcoming community which is more related to /r/canada than any of the existing links. We have included a link to /r/canada in OUR sidebar, without you even having to ask.
We are following standard /r/canada protocol for bringing action to something by filling out an e-petition, which as you know, you MUST comply to if we can get more than 100 e-signatures. If we gather 100 signatures and you still haven't included us in the sidebar, then we will be forced to get lawyers involved, or possibly even send form letters to someone with no power to change the situation.
I am adding this paragraph which adds absolutely nothing to my argument because the longer an e-petition is, the more clearly it must be true and the more power it has. It doesn't matter if I just ramble on because people never read the text in an e-petition, they only need to know what I included in my reddit post title that links to here. I should also mention here than an internet expert you've never heard of who works as a non-tenure faculty at a small Canadian university agrees with us and he has written about it in a legally-binding blog. Furthermore, we will not vote for your party when we reach voting age if you don't do something about this. We are sick and tired of people that we have voted for doing the things that they promised to do if they get elected.
